COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT
The Monticello Companies has been recognized and honored for its involvement in numerous charitable and non-profit organizations in its community, locally and nationally:
The corporation's spirit extended beyond the human element when it adopted the Jacksonville Zoological Garden's African Lion -- one of the stars of the Zoo's weekend family show.
Thousands of dollars in company products have been given to Volunteer Jacksonville for distribution through Second Harvest Food Bank to various charities and homeless shelters in North Florida.
A donation to the Florida Theater helped fund the Children's Summer
Film Festival.
The Grove House is a civic-minded charity that enables adults with disability to have a chance at becoming self-supportive. The Grove House sponsors various auctions and events in order to raise money to fulfill their goals. Monticello is proud to have participated in donating a location for one of their auctions, and the latest adventure of their Orange Tree Harvest.
Monticello's giving spririt includes helping and supporting one of the smaller struggling churches in our community, St. Catherine's Church. This church always exemplifies the old-time spirit of truly trying to help those in their surrounding community.
A small Catholic Church in Nicaragua had been trying for over three years to build a health clinic in their community. This effort had only raised 20% of the funds needed to build the clinic. Monticello was touched by the dedication of Monsignor Bismarck Parroco and stepped in to provided the necessary funding. Thus, even though they can not buy our products yet, their is a small community in Jinote, Carazo that is a Monticello fan.
The Monticello Companes made a generous offering to support the Gospel Heritage Foundation as well as the Sheridan Gospel Network (The Light).
The Monitcello Company is a proud sponsor of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference which was led by Martin Luther King III.
The Justice Coalition has also received a donation from The Monticello Companies for its pursuit to bring justice to those who have been wronged.
Gathering the Harvest Ministries received funding for their support in establishing Christianity to those less fortunate in countries such as India. Their support helped hundreds of orphans find the loving spirit of God.
Other charities and organizations that received support from this civic-minded corporation include The Heart Association, The American Cancer Society, United Way, M.A.D.D. and the Junior League.
