Henry E. Dean, IIIHenry E. Dean, III | Chief Executive Officer and President

Henry E. Dean, III has been President and CEO of Monticello Drug Company for the past twelve years.  Dean oversees all operations of the Company and was the principal person in charge of the last six successful drug line acquisitions of MDC.  Dean is responsible for the current and future direction and focus of the Corporation.  Dean majored and minored in English and Psychology respectively at the University of the South.  Dean received further training in accounting at Drayton Business College, and has taken advanced courses in Mergers & Acquisitions at MIT.


Thomas S. DeanThomas S. Dean | Executive Vice President

Thomas S. Dean’s first three years with Monticello Drug Company saw his progression from sales representative to Vice President of Sales and Distribution.  Through intensive training, over the course of the last twelve years he became the Executive Vice President of MDC, and Chief Operational Officer.  Dean currently oversees and manages all production issues, and works closely with our Vice President of Regulatory Affairs. Thomas attended a local university in Jacksonville, Florida, where he completed his educational instruction in Sales and Marketing.  Dean further advanced his studies at North Florida College in Business Development and Marketing. 


N. B. (Lee) Corbin, Jr.N. B. (Lee) Corbin, Jr. | Treasurer

For the past six years, Lee Corbin is has acted as Treasurer of the Monticello Companies, Inc. and Treasurer of Monticello Drug Company.  Mr. Corbin is involved with the financial operational needs of the company including negotiating bank financing. As the Manager of Property Acquisitions, LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Monticello Companies, his active Real Estate Broker’s License is used to great advantage in the acquisition of properties held by that division. His career has also encompassed very successful real estate sales as a Broker for Manormar – Sotheby’s Real Estate, achieving the Top Salesman Award.  In addition, he served as President and Treasurer, holding majority control, of Aetna Steel, a $25 million company with plants in several Florida locations, until its successful sale in 1987. Lee attended the Bolles and Episcopal Preparatory Schools in Jacksonville and holds a BA in Business Administration from Jacksonville University.  Civically minded, Lee, a widower with a son following in his footsteps at Bolles, is active at the St. Catherine’s Episcopal Church serving on the Vestry and as Treasurer.


Susan CrouseSusan Crouse| Vice President, Purchasing & Production 

Susan Crouse has been involved in the purchasing operations of the Drug Company for the past twelve years.  This has involved the development of systematic programs to ensure good cost controls and timely purchasing of quality components for production of our products.  She is responsible for scheduling and oversight of production of the products, from development, ordering and delivery of the components, to the manufacturing scheduling, and transport of the finished goods to the distribution center.  She works very closely with the Executive Vice President and the Vice President of Regulatory Affairs to ensure that all regulatory requirements are met throughout the process. In addition, she maintains the in house inventory and financial record keeping.  Her background includes a B. A. in U.S. History and Constitution with minors in Education and Accounting from Salem State College in Salem, MA and an A. S. in Culinary Arts and Business Management from the Essex Institute in Danvers, MA.  Her career includes positions of business management in banking, retail, hospitality, and manufacturing.


Robert RussellRobert Russell | Vice President, Regulatory Affairs

Robert B. Russell was hired eleven years ago as Director of Regulatory Affairs for MDC in September 1997, later advancing to Vice President of Regulatory Affairs in 1999. Mr. Russell currently has 16 years experience in the Quality Control and Regulatory Affairs fields associated with Medical Devices, Food, Drug and Cosmetic Products. Mr. Russell's responsibilities include ensuring that the collective obligations existing under the Federal Food Drug and Cosmetic Act, as amended, are specifically defined and followed by the various contract vendors. This is to include meeting and complying with applicable regulatory requirements including current Good Manufacturing Practice regulations (cGMP'S) as defined at Title 21, Section 211 of the United States Code of Federal Regulations.  His career includes five years as Quality Control Inspector for Vistakon, a subsidiary of Johnson & Johnson specializing in the production of contact lenses.


Alan AinsworthAlan Ainsworth | Vice President, Sales and Distribution

Hired by The Monticello Companies in 1999, Alan has contributed to growth of the company in an array of responsibilities. Sales and distribution of products has always been a constant. Monticello still believes in the personal touch when it comes to customer relations. Alan provides that human voice to customers and their needs. Alan graduated and earned a B. S. degree from Florida Southern College in Lakeland, FL.



Roland HernandezRoland Hernandez | President, Consumer Products Division

Roland Hernandez joined Lee Pharmaceuticals in 2001 as President of the Consumer Products Division. He is responsible for worldwide Sales and Marketing for Lee Pharmaceuticals and Monticello Drug Company's product lines. Roland began his career with Proctor and Gamble in 1978, utilizing his bilingual background to initiate a sales and marketing program catering to the Miami Hispanic Market. This program was later replicated in other Hispanic markets throughout the United States. In 1981 Roland served as Regional Manager for Sherwood Medical introducing the Monoject product line to the Drug and Mass trade class. In 1986, Roland joined the Stanback Company as Vice-President of Sales. Under his guidance, the Stanback Company grew from a Southeast Regional company to one that sold their products to over 37 countries. Roland graduated from the University of Georgia in 1978 with a Bachelor's Degree in International Business and Finance. He and his wife, Dale, live in Lawrenceville, Georgia and have two daughters. Roland's hobbies include racquetball, tennis, skiing, and travel.
